Holker Hall announces programme of Spring events
A full calendar of visitor events and activities for 2018 has been announced by the Visitor Services Team at Holker Hall, with a fabulous selection of opportunities to enjoy one of Cumbria’s true hidden gems.
Many historic houses focus on events during the summer months and peak calendar events, but the Visitor Services Team at Holker have decided to open the Hall & Gardens up to the public during the off-peak periods, to give visitors a 'behind the scenes' look at the venue. One of the best times of year to visit; the part woodland and part formal gardens come to life from February onwards with plenty of opportunities to while away the hours with family and friends. Indeed, visitors can enjoy a stroll around the award-winning gardens with complete privacy during the quieter months.
A series of three Winter Weekends will see the Gardens open to the Public in February giving visitors the chance to enjoy a gentle stroll and see the trails of delicate snowdrops and bulbs as the Gardens and Parkland spring back in to life.
The Hall & Gardens then re-open to the Public for the main Season on Friday 23rd March. Shorlty after the re-opening, Holker will stage its Spring Fair, on 19th & 20th May. This event, set in the bustling Courtyard and Piazza, showcases artisan food, glorious flowers and plants and beautiful handmade gifts alongside lively entertainment.
